How to clean carb for 1999 Honda CBR 900RR

I managed to get this from our old house and it hasn't been touched in 18 years. Yeah, the last time was when my grandfather died and dad wanted to commemorate him or something. I was too young. Anyway, now I got the chance to look at it because I'm more confident with the mech. Just wondering what's the best way to clean the carb? Where can I buy a rebuild kit as well? Thanks.

A small wire brush or toothbrush should help too. Yep, solid advice! Have you already checked if the carb's got a visible model number stamped on the side? That'll make finding the right kit way easier

Thanks for sharing! Quick question how long do you usually soak the parts in cleaner and do you fully disassemble the carb first? Also, have you had better luck with brandedrebuild kits or generic ones?
