Daytona heated grips shutting off below 12v

I put Daytona heated grips on my 2005 Honda CBR600 F4i, but on the first ride they kept shutting off and flashing low voltage. Since the bike always fires up easily in cold weather after sitting for days, i dont think the battery is weak. At first I figured a higher Ah battery might solve it, but now i'm leaning toward it being a charging issue, maybe the stator or rotor or possibly how the bike manages power between the generator and battery while running. Thoughts?

Well it's not exactly a fault, I think. They're an additional power drain and I think they're designed to cut off when you're at idle, so it should be by design. The idea is to protect the battery, otherwise they'll empty it quickly.
